Canvases

Canvases are blank templates for you to record all the key aspects of your business model and operations. Just as the Business Model Canvas is used to outline your entire business model, each canvas will deep dive into a specific skill area needed to help you scale your sustainability start-ups. The canvases are designed to be not just a theoretical exercise, but are an operational tool that you can reference for key strategies and KPIs.

Each company will work on a canvas together for each of the four skill development areas. Companies will have two weeks to work on their canvases and have them reviewed by Karthik, Andre, or Jackie. Once they are all completed, the canvases will be peer reviewed and voted on by other teams for further reflection. The most highly ranked canvas will get a recognition by the leadership team.

Canvas Modules will appear here as they are discussed

December 17, Skill Development 1: Business Models and Systems for Scale [MEETING RECORDING]
January 23, Skill Development 2: Building a Team for Scale
March 6+7, Skill Development 3: How to raise funding and refine your pitch
April 10, Skill Development 4: Building Sustainability Metrics

If a founder would like to work on a hard copy of these modules before uploading them for review, please contact Kjersti Lukens (klukens3@gatech.edu).

Founder Diary

An important part of launching and scaling a start-up is the personal resilience and development of the founder. As inputs to the individualized coaching that is part of Scale Lab, each founder will have their own personal word doc to record their personal leadership reflections and feedback called a Founder’s Diary. The diaries will only be available for view by the founder, SUSTAIN-X Leadership, and Jackie. Access is available through the google drive
